HIGH LEVEL COURSE NEXT WEEK AT ISF

One week from today [Dec. 6], 34 coaches from 17 different countries will be in attendance for the start of the International Coaching College. This edition is for the Americas, although seven of the attendees are coming from other regions.

Being held at the ISF world headquarters in Plant City, Florida, the four-day course is a high-level session put on in partnership with the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Three months ago the ICC for Asia/Oceania was held in Australia, and next month Italy will host the college being offered for attendees from Africa/Europe. Those registered for next week are coming from Aruba, Bahamas, Belize, Brazil, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Jamaica, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Spain, U.S. Virgin Islands, USA, and Venezuela.

PFX Tour Will Be in Central Florida

Softball players and fans are excited about the PFX Tour coming to central Florida October 19 – 21. The PFX Tour combines tournament games for all age groups and a college showcase but the bonus attraction is the PFX Tour players and their exhibition game.

The PFX Tour players include current, former, and future Olympic gold medal winners along with college All Americans. Participants at the PFX Tour interact with softball legends – Lisa Fernandez, Laura Berg, Dr. Dot Richardson, Stacey Nuveman, Jessica Mendoza, Jennie Ritter and more. The PFX Tour players exhibition game is equivalent to a mini-Olympic event!

For serious fans, the PFX Tour offers an opportunity to spend a day with a PFX player at the Softball Dream golf tournament on October 19. Participants in the golf event are paired with a PFX Tour player or coach for a day of golf and fun. NPF Clinic in Detriot

I know this is really last minute, but if you’re in Detriot, don’t miss out on the NPF clinic this weekend!

Players ages 1-18 are invited to attend this clinic, hosted by the Detriot Tigers, and put on by the National Pro Fastpitch League. The clinic follows the Tigers-White Sox game this Saturday, April 21st. Cost is just $20.00

Free clinic by Michelle Smith

Michelle Smith will host a FREE fastpitch softball clinic at Oklahoma State University (in Stillwater) on February 4th, 2007. This clinic will be open to the public and begins at 2:00 pm at the OSU Athletics Center. There will be an autograph and photo opportunity following the clinic.

At the clinic, Smith will:
~ Break down the throwing motion in easy-to-understand phrases
~ Demonstrate the proper technique
~ Discuss fastpitch fundamentals
~ and share her keys to success
